Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Kage Industries LLC, doing business as TAP Pickleball (“TAP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information for PlayTAPPickleball.com, league registration, player and captain portals, matches, communications, and related services. TAP is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Contact us at kevin@playtappickleball.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, authentication records, account identifiers, and role.
- Player profile information: name, phone number, shirt size, skill level, availability, team, captain status, and communications.
- Registration and waiver records: season selection, team preference or invite code, waiver version, electronic acceptance and timestamp, placement status, and payment status. Waiver text and acceptance records are never sent to advertising platforms.
- League activity: rosters, schedules, attendance, match participants, submitted and confirmed scores, standings, individual points, messages, and administrative actions.
- Payment information: Stripe processes card and payment credentials. TAP receives transaction identifiers, amount, status, refunds, and limited billing details; TAP does not store complete card numbers or security codes.
- Technical and privacy information: device/browser data ordinarily produced by web requests, security logs, consent selections, policy version, timestamp, and an anonymous consent identifier. We do not retain a full IP address solely to create a consent record.
- Privacy requests: contact and verification information, request details, status, deadlines, and resolution notes.
Why we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; operate seasons, rosters, teams, schedules, scores, standings, waivers, and communications; process payments and refunds; prevent fraud and abuse; answer privacy requests; comply with legal, tax, accounting, and insurance obligations; establish or defend legal claims; and improve the service when the visitor has consented to the relevant optional technology.
Cookies and tracking
Strictly necessary technology may operate without optional consent. Analytics, advertising/marketing, and functionality technologies remain off until selected. If a visitor selects Analytics, TAP’s first-party analytics records only the page path without query strings, referrer hostname, coarse device type and viewport range, timestamp, and anonymous consent identifier through Supabase. It does not receive form contents, account details, profiles, registrations, waivers, rosters, scores, health information, or payment information. TAP has no third-party analytics platform, advertising pixel, retargeting platform, heatmap, or session-recording tool active. Google Fonts is optional Functionality and loads only with consent. See the Cookie Policy or open Cookie Preferences.

Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. TAP currently does not use advertising pixels or disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy, request appropriate consent, honor Global Privacy Control where supported, and provide required opt-outs. Service-provider processing for hosting, authentication, payment, security, and transactional email is not described as a sale.
Retention
We retain account and league records while needed to provide the service. Registration, payment, waiver, tax, and associated transaction records are normally retained for seven years after the applicable season, or longer when reasonably necessary for a dispute, legal hold, insurance matter, or law. Consent-event and privacy-request records are normally retained for five years. Operational security logs are retained according to provider settings and legitimate security needs. Scores and standings may be retained as league history; where appropriate, we may de-identify them. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Security
We use encrypted transport, access controls, role-based permissions, row-level security, restricted server credentials, webhook signature checks, payment tokenization, and logging. No system can guarantee perfect security. Never send card numbers, passwords, or sensitive waiver details by ordinary email.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain information; object to or opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; and withdraw optional cookie consent. We may retain information that law, fraud prevention, accounting, insurance, safety, or legal claims require. Submit a request through Privacy Choices.
Nevada
Nevada residents may submit a verified request to opt out of a qualifying sale of covered information under NRS Chapter 603A. TAP does not currently make such sales. We will respond to a verified Nevada request within 60 days and may extend once by up to 30 days when reasonably necessary and when notice is provided within the initial period.
Verification and authorized agents
We verify requests using only information reasonably necessary to match the request to our records and protect the account. We may ask an authorized agent for proof of authority and may ask the consumer to confirm the request directly.
Adults only
TAP leagues are intended for adults age 21 and older. We do not knowingly offer league registration to children.
Changes
Material changes will be communicated through a prominent website notice, account notice, or email when appropriate. A material cookie-policy change will cause the consent banner to appear again.
